Adella Atencio

Adella A. Atencio, age 40, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019.   Adella is survived by her mother, Georgia; children, Hunter Eddie Rodriguez, Zoe Rose Rodriguez; siblings, Louella Atencio, John Edward Torres and companion, George Ray Rodriguez.  Adella was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Atencio.  Adella was a graduate of Rio Grande High School class of 1996.  She was a varsity softball player for four years.   Her favorite hobbies were, singing, dancing and she loved karaoke.

A visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.; a final visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Sunset Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be George Rodriguez, Richard Baca, Bernardo Martinez, Victor Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Andrew Mirabal.   Honorary Pallbearers will be Brenda Smith, Gloria Armenta and Ronald Sandoval.
