HERRERA, ALEX A., age 63, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014.  Mr. Herrera is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Patricia; children, Lara Duran and husband, Glen, Alex R. Herrera, Phillip A. Herrera and partner, Marisa Russell; his father, Alfredo Herrera; sisters, Judy Montoya and Lorraine Herrera; brother, Joe Herrera and wife, Agnes; grandchildren, Joseph, Aliah, Briana, Andria, Alicia, Isaiah and Helio; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mr. Herrera was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Herrera.  Alex enjoyed fishing with his family, his daily walks, and watching the Lobos and Broncos.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Wednesday,  August 13, 2014 at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW at 10:00 a.m., Father Bill Sanchez, presider.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be John Martin, David Martin, Andrew Maestas, Joseph Duran, Rudolph Torres, and Manuel Torres Jr.  Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Maestas.
