Alex Marquez
March 3, 1930 — November 26, 2017
Alex Marquez, age 87, born in Marquez, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 with his family by his side and went to the big roundup in the sky. Mr. Marquez is survived by his siblings, Toby Marquez, Leo Marquez, Lolita Le Blanc and husband, Billy and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Marquez was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Tomasita Marquez and his beloved wife, Josie Marquez. Mr. Marquez was a retired aviation officer and worked his ranch in Marquez, NM. The Marquez family wishes to thank the staff at Casa de Rosa Nursing home for their kindness and love in caring for Alex.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m.; Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Chavez, Anthony Chaves, Michael Paul Chavez, Mike Martinez, Fidi Molina and Elio Chavez.
