Angie Salazar, age 85, born and raised in Espanola, New Mexico, and currently resided in Albuqueruqe, New Mexico, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, on September 30, 2023. Angie lived a simple, beautiful, dignified life. She was a woman with deep faith and love for her family. She provided comfort and solace, while asking little in return, and always putting family first. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Ms. Salazar is survived by her children, Nadine Guardiola and husband, Pancho, and Carolyn Strong and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Ruben Guardiola, Kristen Juarez and husband, Ricardo, Kenny Strong, Bradley Strong; great-grandchildren, Avarie, Ezekiel, Amaya; siblings, Stella Quintana, Ted Roybal and wife, Sally, sisters-in-laws, Charlotte Roybal, and Rosina Salazar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Salazar; parents, David and Carlota Roybal, siblings, Bennino Roybal, Claudina Serrano and husband Tony, Dan Roybal, Tony Roybal and wife, Celina, Ralph Roybal; brother in-law, Willie Quintana; companion, Ted Kahn; sisters in-laws, Teresita Salazar-Jaramillo and husband Fermin, and Alice Sandoval and husband, Juan. A Visitation for Mrs. Salazar will be held Monday, October 16, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 11:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. all to be held at St. Joseph’s on the Rio Grande Catholic Church 5901 St. Joseph’s Dr. NW. An Interment to take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Society, at St. Joseph’s on the Rio Grande. https://sjrgcc.org/online-giving-1 and choose St. Vincent de paul.
