February 9, 2015           ARAGON, ANTONIO, age 74, born in Cuba, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Aragon is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Beatrice; daughters, Antoinette Aragon, and Carmen Romero and husband, Leroy; sons, Eddie Aragon, and Eddie Chavez and wife, Maria; grandchildren, Elias, Andres, Julio, Chris, Angelica, Valerie; sister, Tillie Mares and husband, Richard; sisters-in-law, Prudy Mondragon and husband, Ramon, Palmira Hay and husband, Steve; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Aragon was preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Celia M. Aragon; brother, Daniel Aragon; sister, Effie Aragon; niece, Sylvia Genero; in laws, Dan and wife, Nellie Perea, Joe and wife, Louisa Perea, Clarence Perea, Lillie Perea, Fonchie Royal and husband, Maurice, and Rosie Perea. Antonio was a member of Cristo Rey Community in the South Valley for forty years. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gene and Sophie Giron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 14, 2015, at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2150 Barcelona Rd. SW at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Urnbearers will be Eddie Chavez, Art Garcia, Christopher Chavez, and David Lopez.
