Antonio F. Gutierrez

Antonio F. Gutierrez “Tony”, age 94 a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 6, 2022, at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Gutierrez is survived by his daughter, Lolita Gurule and Sophie his dog; brothers Arturo Gutierrez and George Gutierrez; goddaughter, Patricia Flores; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special neighbors. Mr. Gutierrez was preceded in death by his loving wife, Tillie Gutierrez; son in law, Willie Gurule; parents, Eduardo and Pelegrina Gutierrez; brothers, Juan, Lalo, Rosendo, Joe, and Louie Gutierrez. Mr. Gutierrez served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War ll and, he worked for Kirtland Air Force base for thirty-eight years. He enjoyed going camping in the Jemez, Chama, and Colorado mountains., He liked going to the casino’s here in town and on tour buses to Laughlin, Nevada. He loved his Spanish New Mexico music and loved listening to the radio. He proudly served his Catholic Community as usher at his parish of St. Anne Catholic Church. Visitation will be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 12, 2022, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at 8:00 a.m. St. Anne Catholic Church 1900 Arenal Rd SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Art Gutierrez, John Gutierrez, Steve Saenz, Pete Gutierrez, Paul Flores and James Montez.
