                    CONTRERAS SR., ARTHUR A., age 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away, Sunday, July 20, 2014. Mr. Contreras is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Arthur Contreras Jr., and wife, Monica, Shannon Armijo and husband, Will J., Ashley Herrera and husband, Joey, and Jessica Sanchez; sisters, Sara Cruz and husband, Dennis and Thelma Garcia and Mike; brother, John (Scotty) Contreras; grandchildren, Sonjia, Simon, Starlynn, Jasmine, Lilyana, and Analiese; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mr. Contreras was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Braulia Contreras; sister, Jean Hernandez.  Mr. Contreras was a Veteran of the U. S Army, service during the Vietnam Era. Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Gary Russell, presider.  Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mike Baca, Dennis Cruz, David Cordova, Art Sanchez, Scotty Contreras, and Peter Espinosa.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Contreras, Desi Garcia and Tommy Sanchez.
