Mr. Atanacio ‘’Tato” Maldonado Jr., a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 16, 2022 at his home. Mr. Maldonado is survived by his Children; Cindy, Miguel and wife Amanda, Emilio and wife Melissa, Angelica and partner Patrick, and his partner Roxanne. Grandchildren; Patrick, Isaiah, Elena, Antonio and Cristiano; Great Grandchildren, Isbriah, and Amira. Siblings, Rosalie, Sonny, Stanley, Marian, Berna and Spouse Leonard and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mr. Maldonado is preceded in death by his parents Atanacio Maldonado Sr. and Natividad, his spouse Theresa, sisters Josie, Lucy, Frances, Shelia and brother Anthony.
“Tato” retired from the City of Albuquerque. He worked in the Planning Division as a Building Inspector where he thoroughly enjoyed Red Tagging builders. “Tato“ was a driven, self motivated visionary who was relentless when it came to achieving his goals. He built a beautiful Adobe home with the help of his wife Theresa for his family. “Tato” enjoyed woodworking, carving Santos, gardening, beautifying his yard, traveling and long car rides because he couldn’t keep still. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes and talking about the good times. He was always willing to give advice or a helping hand. He will be dearly missed. ‘’Tato” was a member of the Catholic Church. Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 28,2022 at 10:15am with a Communion Word Service to follow at 11:00am, all to be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
