Bonifacio Chavez

Bonifacio Chavez, age 92, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 23, 2023. Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Elena Vilchis de Chavez, children, Jaime Chavez, Andres Chavez, Jeanette Maldonado; seven grandchildren, siblings, Dolorita Cordova, Antonio Chavez, Elario Chavez, Rafael Chavez Jr. Mr. Chavez served his country proudly during both the Korean War and Vietnam Era and retired from the United States Army honorably.  A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 10: 30am with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00am with a Mass at 12:00pm all to be held at Sacred Heart Church located at 309 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. An Interment with Military Honors will take place Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 12:30pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be family.
