Candelaria (Candy) C. Padilla, age 94, born in Mesilla, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. Mrs. Padilla is survived by her children, Ray Padilla, Theresa Padilla, Louisa Gallegos, and Edward D. Padilla; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Padilla was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Padilla; daughter, Virginia Padilla; and grandson, Andrew M. Padilla. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:15 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5800 Ouray NW, Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Father Ronald Bibeau, presider. (the Church requires traditional clothing to be worn for Mass). Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dominic Gallegos, Frank Gallegos, Michael Gallegos, Vincent Gallegos, Gabriel Gallegos, and Larry Carreon.
