Carl F. Brezowski, age 70, passed away after a battle with brain cancer on January 5th, 2023 and he chose to have his body cremated. He is survived by his wife, Novela De La O-Brezowski, sons, Jason Bailey, Omar De La O, and grandsons, Jason Anthony Bailey, Jason Vincent Bailey, Jason Samuel Bailey, and Mateo del Valle-De La O.
Carl was born on March 16, 1952 in Staten Island, New York to his parents Gaetana “Tinnie” and Emil Carl Brezowski. As a young boy, Carl was interested in math and science and always had an affinity for building things. His love for math and science led him to pursuing advanced education at Brooklyn Tech and eventually attained an associates degree in machinery, as he moonlit as a New York City taxi driver.
As his parents retired to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1970 Carl shortly followed them. He used his education and love for science and technology to take his talents to Sandia National Laboratories as a machinist. After advancing through a few departments he was promoted to the Component Production Department where he worked on many high-level assignments. After 25 years of work for Sandia he retired and ventured into the business world of Albuquerque where he owned apartment buildings, invested in Rio Rancho real estate, and eventually built storage sheds in northern Rio Rancho.
In 2001 Carl met his wife, Novela De La O and were married in June of 2003. They were married for 19 years and lived on the westside of Albuquerque. Together they loved traveling throughout the world and enjoyed camping in New Mexico, Arizona, and southern Colorado.
Carl will forever be remembered for his creativity and problem solving skills. Many friends and family relied on Carl to help them fix and manage anything that life could throw at them. He will also be remembered as the most generous of people as he never failed to help anyone in need of his time or resources.
Carl was a loving husband, a great father, and the most admirable grandfather. Anyone who was blessed with his presence would testify that he was among the greatest examples of energy, kindness, intelligence, and generosity that this world could possibly produce.
