    Carlos Chavez, age 66, born in Cubero, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at home with his family at his side.  Carols is survived by his sisters, Miquilita Otero, Arlene Maldonado and husband, Jesus, Annabell De La O and husband, Mike; brothers,  Roy Chavez and wife, Susan , and Joe Chavez and wife, patsy; his godson, Anthony  De La O; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Carlos was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. Carlos was awarded the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Metal, Vietnam Campaign Medal , 2 OS Bars, and Sharpshooter M-14.  Visitation will be Thursday,  May 28, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., Pastor John Martinez, presider.  A Committal Service is scheduled for the Santa Fe National Cemetery Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
