Carmen Roberts Gomez, born on August 21, 1928 and entered The Heavenly Light y Los Manos de Dios in the early morning of Thursday, October 6, 2016.  Carmen Roberts Gomez, born to Nieves and Guadalupe Roberts in Winslow, Arizona was lovingly raised from infancy by her beloved tia/mama, Antonia and tio/papa,  Paublo Baca Chavez in Jarales, NM.  Carmen was preceded by her husband of 57 years, Abelicio Gomez of Pueblitos, NM; her mother, Nieves and tia/mama, Antonia; siblingsTeresa, Tony and Martin.  Surviving Carmen are: prima/hermana, Isabel Lovato of Jarales; six children, Rupert, Jerry, Victor and wife, Inez, Cynthia and husband, Vaughn, Diane and Shirley; grandchildren, Diedra, Abelicio, Samantha, Marisol, Robert, Vicente, Margarita, Christopher, Jason, Pricilla, Jesus, Nathaniel, Alfonso, and Lorenzo; great-grandchildren, include, Alyssa, Ben, Jessica, Ashley, Marisa, Chris Angel, Victor, Michael, Lilliuana, Desiree, Paul Jr., Serenity, Aurora and two babies on the way.  Each family member carries on the spirit and memory of our beloved “Little Grandma.” As matriarch, Carmen extended a deep and personal sense of love, simple advice and a moral compass to each. The family welcomes prayers for Carmen in her passage and mending of our loss.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 09, 2016 in the  Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. by Carlos Oterga.  Final visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be recited at 10:00 am  at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Peralta, NM. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Belen Memory Garden Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Samantha Moreno Y Gomez, Vicente Gomez, Christopher Gomez, Margarita Ortega y Gomez, Jason Gomez, Jesus Gomez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Pricilla Gomez, and Nathanial Gomez.
