Cecil Simon Padilla

Cecil Simon Padilla, age 87, born in Grants, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 4, 2025. Cecil is survived by his children, daughter, Yvette Poole and husband, Jeff and son, Simon Padilla and wife, Diana; grandchildren, Kyra, Jamaa, Eric, Jessica, Dillon, Angelo, Julian, Dominic, Syanna, Rachel, Jessica, Jon, and Symantha; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Padilla, son, Ben Padilla, sister, Judy Hererra, and parents, Manuel, and Emma Padilla; Cecil served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Visitation for Cecil will be held at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church 2150 Raymac Rd SW on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Final visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. also at Church of the Ascenson with the Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services with Military Honors at Los Padillas Cemetery.
