Celestino Vigil Ortega

Celestino V. Ortega (Tino), age 86, born in Veguita, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 16, 2023. Tino enjoyed playing basketball and baseball in his younger days. He worked as a plumber for several different companies before getting hired by the city of Albuquerque where he retired in 1995. The door was always open to any friends and family who visited.

Tino is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mary Lou Ortega; four children, Tina Sanchez and husband, Robert, Clarence Ortega and wife, Roberta, and Bertha Trujillo and husband, Charles, and Charles (Jody); grandchildren, Andrew, Robbie, Katelyn & Mark, Alyssa, Aaron, Jordan, Isaac, Isaiah; great-grandchildren, MilaBella, and Zane.

Services will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd SW on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Visitation starting at 7:45a.m., Rosary at 8:15a.m. and Mass at 9:00 a.m. Interment to be private at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
