Christella Trujillo

Christella Maria Smith Trujillo, age 96, a resident of Albuquerque, born May 21, 1921, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017.  Christella was preceded in death by her three sons, Milton and Larry Trujillo and Joseph Lopez; her mother, Maria Placides Smith and sister, Mary Jane Smith; four brothers, Charlie Huerta, Ruben, Leonard, and George Smith.  She is survived by her sons, Eliseo Trujillo of Albuquerque, Louis Trujillo and wife, Gloria of Belen, Reginald Trujillo and wife, Linda of Fairfax Station, VA, Robert Lopez and wife, Betty Jo of Albuquerque.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.   Mrs. Trujillo was a life-long member of the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church.  She was a beloved Mother who lived a life of servitude, dedicated to raising seven sons and for several years helped to rear several great-grandchildren.  Christella had a heart of gold, she was strong, loving, caring, and most of all had a great sense of humor and will be sorely missed.   The family would like to thank the staff at Princeton Place, Albuquerque, for their care and support.  Visitation will take place Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, a Rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment to follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Trujillo Jr., John Anthony Lopez, Mattias Trujillo, Isaac Kolosseus, Tim Trujillo and J.J. Lopez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Trujillo, Kevin Trujillo, Reggie Trujillo Jr., Miguel Cummings and Robert Lopez.
