Clara Vargas

Clara (Tafoya) Vargas, age 90, born in Corrales, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on July 4, 2021. Mrs. Vargas survived by her daughters, Yolanda Romero and husband, Leroy, Lillian Vargas; sisters, Frances Trujillo, Virginia Rodriguez and husband, Ramon; brothers Alfonso Tafoya, Agapito Tafoya, Jose Tafoya and wife, Angela, Jimmy Tafoya; niece and caretaker, Patricia Rodriguez; four grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Vargas was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Vargas; parents, Victor and Margarita Tafoya; siblings, Rose Gutierrez, Stella Lucero, Lucy Martinez, Della Delgado, Felix Tafoya and Viola Garcia. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 820 Broadway Blvd SE with Father Bejoy presiding. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be, Ray Rodriguez, Michael Chavez, Raymond Vargas, Bobby Vargas, Anthony Sanchez, Eric Casias. Honorary pallbearers will; be Jesus Trujillo and Louie Chavez Sullivan.
