Cordelia Mares, born in Conejos, Colorado and resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 16, 2017, with her family by her side. Ms. Mares is survived by her daughter, Christine Struck; son, Tony Mares and Josie Perez; grandchildren, Allen Struck Jr. and wife, Michelle, Susie Struck-Sanchez and husband, Ray Jr., Patrick Struck and wife, Shanare and Sabrina Mares; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Fiancée, Paulina, Nathan, Janae, Ashley, Chantelle, Joshua and Marisol; great-great-grandson, Aiden; half-sisters, Paublita and Lourdes; daughter-in-law, Becky Mares; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. Mares was preceded in death by her son, Robert Mares; parents, Juan and Christina Miera, and her brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW; with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m.; Funeral service to be held at 11:30 a.m.; Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Struck, Ray Sanchez Jr. and Richard Barela.
