Dora G. Herrera, age 79, born in Mountainair, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at home with her loving family at her side.  Mrs. Herrera is survived by her children, Linda Frias, Yolanda Bencomo and husband, Eddie, Gilbert Herrera and partner, Ruth Molina, Elizabeth Chavez and husband, Louis, Gloria Esparsen and husband, Anthony, Sandra Herrera and James Baca; sister , Oralia Candelaria and husband, Alfredo; brothers, Leo Griego and wife, Luz, and Nick Griego and wife, Pam; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; her dear friend, Christine Pena; sisters in law, Laura Griego, and Carolina Herrera; brother in law, Ramon Herrera; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mrs. Herrera was preceded in death by her husband, Nestor C. Herrera Sr.; son, Nestor C. Herrera Jr.; grandson, Leroy Jim Vaughn; and granddaughter, Geli Vanessa Herrera.  Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1500 Arenal SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Adam Vaughn, Anthony Esparsen, Danny Frias, Jonathan Chavez, Brian Sena, and Rigo Iguardo.  Honorary pallbearers will be  Gilbert Herrera, Daniel Herrera, Lorenzo Chavez, and Estevan Vaughn. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Elizabeth Ward, and nurse, Sara Marquez.
