Dorothy Mae Garcia

Dorothy Mae Garcia, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2023, with her son, Mark Garcia and wife, Christine and daughter Karen Chacon and husband, Martin by her side.  Dorothy is also survived by sons, John Garcia, and James Garcia; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; siblings, Don Valencia (Yvonne), Paul Valencia and (Genevieve), Antoinette Aragon (Paul); many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Juan R. Garcia Jr.; son, Aaron J. Garcia, parents, Henry and Mary Valencia, siblings, Ernest Valencia, and Gloria Torres. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, reading and the farming lifestyle she shared with her husband Juan. Dorothy will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 6:30p.m. at Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, also at Church of the Ascension. A Burial will follow services to Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Garcia, Martin Chacon, Eric Chacon, RJ Chacon, Leonard Garcia, and James Moya.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Chacon.
