Edward Cano age 93, born in Upper Vallecitos, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 22, 2024. Edward is survived by his children, Peter Cano and wife, Jolynn, Jeanette Garcia and husband, Oscar, Kenneth Cano and wife, Cindi, and Christine Garcia and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Gage, Deverae, Erik, Jennifer, Diego, Ciara, Serina, Gregory, Andrew, Jenelle, Laurnn, Alyssa, Kaelynn, Genaro, JR; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Tony A. Cano; sister, Gloria Sanchez and husband, Richard; half- brothers, Benny Cano and Tony Cano. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie, sons, Edward Cano Jr., and Richard Cano. Edward Cano was the oldest of twelve siblings and was A Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War for 8 years stationed in Germany. He was a member of the of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers International Union for 67 years. Visitation for Mr. Cano will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church 8301 Camino San Martin SW with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be, Gregory Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Diego Cano, Eli Cano, Moises Cano, Evan Davidson. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Gage Cano, Erik Garcia, and Genaro Cano.
