Elsie Gonzales

In loving memory of Elsie Gonzales, 93, whose love was enduring, her spirit kind and her heart devoted.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Cristobal, her parents Apolonio and Arminda and sisters Arabella, and Lita.

She is survived by her beloved children Melissa, Carla (Larry), Christopher (Aieysha), her grandson John, who was a bright light in her life, and adored siblings Connie (Luke), Mary Ann , Mary Rita, Jane (Tony), and Andres (Mary). She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and extended family members. 

Born in El Guique, NM, Elsie was blessed with an impressive intellect, an independent nature and a deep moral conscience.

The family wishes to acknowledge her sister Connie for her daily check-ins and planning of her service, son-in-law Larry for his sacrifice that ensured her care, and God-daughter Rosabelle for her abiding love.

Elsie’s celebration of life service will be at 10:00am Tuesday, November 5th, at Our Lady of Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, in Albuquerque. Reception to follow at Prestige Event Center located at 2019 5th St. NW. A Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501
