Ernestina Aguirre Garcia, age 84, passed away on April, 09, 2020. Ernestina (Tina) was born in Guachochi, Mexico. Chihuahua, Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, N.M. for over 30 years.

She is survived and greatly missed by her sisters Amelia Aguirre Garcia and Esperanza Aguirre Garcia; brother Efran Aguirre Garcia; daughters Veronica and husband Jignesh Gandhi, Yvette and husband Brian Eiffe; grandchildren Mia, Grant, Foster, Petra, Alex, Peyton, Luke, Isaac, Leo; great-grandchildren Hayden, Sophia and Violet.

Ernestina began her career in Mexico as a secretary for a newspaper and when she emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1970 worked as a carer for the elderly and children with special needs and worked with The Good Shepard Brothers for many years. She was an extremely creative person and talented seamstress who volunteered for San Felipe de Neri Parish where she made beautiful embroidered, and crocheted crafts for the festivals. She was an active parishioner of San Felipe de Neri in Old Town who also served as a Lector for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alberto Aguirre Lopez and Beatriz Garcia Yanez; Siblings Alberto Aguirre Garcia, Rogelio Aguirre Garcia, Evangelina Aguirre Garcia and Elva Aguirre Garcia.

Ernestina Aguirre García falleció el 9 de abril de 2020 a la edad de 84 años. Ernestina (Tina) nació en Guachochi, Chihuahua, México, y residió en Albuquerque, N.M. durante más de 30 años.
La sobreviven sus hermanos Amelia Aguirre Garcia, Esperanza Aguirre Garcia y Efran Aguirre Garcia; sus hijas Verónica y esposo Jignesh Gandhi, Yvette y esposo Brian Eiffe; sus nietos Mía, Grant, Foster, Petra, Alex, Peyton, Luke, Isaac y Leo; bisnietos Hayden, Sophia y Violet.
Ernestina empezó su carrera profesional en México como secretaria en un periódico, y al emigrar a E.E. U.U. en 1970 se dedicó a cuidar de ancianos y niños con necesidades especiales, además de trabajar con The Good Shepard Brothers durante muchos años. Era una persona extremadamente creativa, una costurera de mucho talento que trabajó como voluntaria en la Parroquia de San Felipe de Neri, creando preciosos bordados y piezas de ganchillo para los festivales. Fue una parroquianana activa de San Felipe de Neri en Old Town, dirigiendo las Lecturas durante muchos años.
La precedieron en la muerte sus padres Alberto Aguirre López y Beatriz García Yánez; y hermanos Alberto Aguirre Garcia, Rogelio Aguirre Garcia, Evangelina Aguirre Garcia y Elva Aguirre Garcia.
