Ernestine (Tina) Chavez, age 52, born in Grants, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016.  Tina is survived by her husband of thirty years, Blas Chavez Jr.; sons, Blas Chavez III, and Leonard Chavez and fiancee, Stephanie; mother, Sadie Romero;  father, Manuel Romero and wife, Hortencia; sisters, Lottie Tafoya and husband Johnny, Irene Saenz and husband, Henry Jr., Theresa Romero and Raul; grandchildren, Czarina, Abigale, and Rafael ; daughter in law, Monique Roybal; mother in law, Rosline Chavez;  brother in law, Lawrence Chavez and wife, Norma; sisters in law, Gloria Roybal and husband, Robert, and Yvette Baros and husband, Ben; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Tina was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Romero; and father in law, Blas Chavez (Papa Bear).   Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 at Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10750 Sunset Garden Rd. SW with a Funeral  Service at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Manuel Rodriguez, presider.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Blas Chavez III, Leonard Chavez, Henry Saenz III, Lawrence Tafoya, Donavin Chavez, and Robert Roybal.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Chavez, and Gabriel Saenz.
