Ernestine ”Tina” Ortiz, age 82, born in Gonzales Ranch, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 8, 2024. Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her husband of sixty years, Nelson Ortiz; children, Andrew Ortiz and wife, Suzette, Melissa Romero and husband, Steve, and Kimberly Padilla and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Patrick, Ashley, Brooke, Samantha, Jacob, Matthew, Jessica, Valerie, AJ, Celina, Sarah, Thomas, and Mikaela and nineteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Cox, Livorio Lovato and wife, Carol, Anastasio Lovato, Helen Valles, John Lovato; brother in-law, Alfonso Ortiz Jr. and wife, Jeanette, Sister-in-law, Velma Lesperance. She was blessed with many loving and caring nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Lovato; father in-law Alfonso Ortiz Sr., mother in-law, Celina Garcia-Ortiz; sisters, Louise Cox Garlock and Senobia Solano Gonzales; brother, Isidro Lovato; nephews, Ernest Solano and Buddy Edwards. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 7:45 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s on the Rio Grande Catholic Church 5901 St. Joseph’s Dr. NW with burial to follow at Sandia Memorial Gardens Cemetery 9500 San Pedro NE. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Ortiz, Patrick Ortiz, Jacob Romero, Matthew Romero, AJ Padilla, and Anthony Rodden.
