Ernesto Roybal

Ernesto Roybal, age 82, born in Penasco, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 23, 2022. Mr. Roybal is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Abelita “Abie” Roybal; children, Carla Roybal, Brenda Roybal, Christy Roybal Cantrall and husband, Chad; two grandchildren, Chloe Roybal, and Madison Roybal; siblings, Eloyda Romero, and Lillian Lopez, several nephews, nieces, including MaryAnn Montoya. He was preceded in death by his brother Jose “Mike” Roybal. Mr. Roybal served his country proudly and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Visitation will be held in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. S.W. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 6:00p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with military honors for Mr. Roybal. Pallbearers will be Eric Montoya, Alfred Romero, Vincent Padilla, Benny “Junior” LeBeau, Frank Lopez Jr., and Michael Visarraga. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Le Beau, Phillip LeBeau, Larry Olivas, Oscar Silva and Michael Padilla.
