d. November 07, 2015Evan L. Serna, age 84, born in San Luis, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, November 07, 2015. Mrs. Serna is survived by children, Rita Serna, Lorraine West, Gerri Maurino, and Dennis Serna; grandchildren, Celeste Rael and husband, Steve, Antonio Maurino, Nicole Maurino, her baby, Gerald Maurino, Ginger Weber and husband John, Melanie Cole and husband, Christopher, Jose Salazar and wife, Casandra, Diego Salazar, Steve Montano and wife, Mari, Maxine Montano, Ashley Serna, Andrea Serna, Stephen Serna and wife, Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Alysha Rael, Steven Rael Jr., Kristina Rael, Darius Maurino, Zoey Maurino, Raymond Weber and wife, Chelsea, Andrew Weber and wife, Joy, David Weber, Michaela Weber, Evan Weber, Joseph Salazar, Derek Chavez, Christian Cole, Max Salazar, Caerah Salazar, Justin Blakeley, Kyla Montano, Alexis Montano, Jasmine Montano, and Brittany Montano; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Serna was preceded in death by her husband, Max Serna; and son, Ruddy Serna. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. A Committal Service will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Pallbearers will be Steve Rael, Steven Rael Jr., Christopher Aragon, Luis Rodriguez, Brien Lovato, and Jose Salazar.
