Flora Lucero, born in Contreras, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, May 07, 2016 at home with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Rueben Lucero;  daughters, Annette Gonzales and husband, Frank, Debra Lucero, Yolanda Lucero and Manuel Arvizo, Patty Lopez and husband, Jimi;  sisters, Peggy Tafoya, Tommie Montoya, Rosie Tafoya, and Patricia Tafoya; brothers, Ismael Tafoya; Robert Tafoya and wife, Mary Lou, Jimmy Tafoya and wife, Betty Jean; six grandchildren, Jacob Lucero and fiancee, Erica Gurule, Amy Gonzales and fiance, Stephen Lucero, Frankie Gonzales and wife, Clarissa, Jaelene Gutierrez, Veronica Lucero, and Rueben Gutierrez;  great-grandchildren, Nastasia, Mia, and Emily Lucero, Alyssa Contreras, and Autumn Gonzales; and many other extended family members.  Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Mary Tafoya; sister, Mary Lou Salas; and brothers, David, Freddie, and Delfin Tafoya.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow after Mass at the Marquez Cemetery.
