Florentino Manuel Macias, age 38, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018. Manuel is survived by his beloved wife of thirteen years, Carol (Gabaldon) Macias; son, Joshua and daughter Elliana; mother, Deena Landavazo and husband, Ron; sister, Justine Macias; grandmother, Flora Carrillo; his best friend, who is like a brother, Mario Herrera and wife, Yvonne; best friends, Jack Martinez, Roger Thompson and wife, Mary, Tanya Blewett and husband, Jacob; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Ross Davis; mother-in-law, Terre Gabaldon; sister-in-law, Karen Martinez; nieces, Kristina, Kathryn, Jasmin, Maya, Sophia and Anissa; and his nephew, Isaiah; godfather, James Chavez and wife, Linda; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors who are all like family. Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Florentino G. Macias; grandfather, Gene Carrillo and his father-in-law, Tom Gabaldon.
A visitation will be held Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic church, 56 2 Atrisco Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. by Deacon Rene Greivel and Patricia Muniz-Roberts; a final visitation will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sagebrush Church, 6440 Coors Blvd NW with a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mario Herrera, Jack Martinez, George Sanchez, Roger Thompson, Josh Montano, Pat Vigil, Rick Martinez, Jeremy War, Andres Chavez, Adrian Gomez, Bob Poovey and Robert De La O.
