Fr. Salvador Aragon, age 87, died at Assumption Friary, Rio Rancho, NM, October 24, 2016. He was born in Peña Blanca, NM, December 13, 1928. He studied with the Franciscans in Cincinnati, OH, and was ordained priest, June 9, 1955. Over 70 years in the Order, he ministered at Holy Family, Albuquerque; Chama, Roswell, Clovis, Cuba, Los Ojos, Tierra Amarilla, Gallup and Santa Fe, NM; and San Angelo, TX. At the time of his death, he was serving as chaplain to the Felician Sisters. Visitation will be at Holy Family Parish, Albuquerque, from 10:00 a.m. until to 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2016; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Franciscan plot at 1:45 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Pena Blanca, NM.
