She just wasn’t an educator—she was a mentor, role model and a source of encouragement for the many students who passed through her classroom.
Frances was a pillar of strength and a woman of unwavering faith. She was a member of both Holy Family Church in Albuquerque and Our Lady of Sorrows in La Joya. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League at Holy Family where she served as President for 10+ years of the Sacred Heart League. She was also a Team Leader of the Emmaus Group for many years. She taught Catechism at Holy Family during the years her granddaughters Analysia and Evelyn attended Catechism. Frances had a natural ability to make people feel loved and cherished. She possessed an infectious sense of humor, unwavering optimism, and a heart that knew no bounds when it came to caring for others. Whether she was having a heartfelt conversation, telling a funny story, or offering words of encouragement, Frances had a way of making those around her feel special. She was a woman who truly lived—laughing often, loving deeply and spreading kindness wherever she went. Her vivacious personality, quick wit and sense of humor brought light to everyone around her. She was full of life and made everyone feel at home in her presence. She was everyone’s safe place. She could be in pain, but never failed to make you smile. You will be forever loved and missed. There will never be another Frances.
