d. September 17, 2016
Frank Joseph Lopez, known as Frankie to his loved ones, lived an exceptional life of 47 years. A man of strong conviction, he went to be with Jesus Christ on September 17, 2016, with a heart filled with faith and love. Born in Albuquerque on August 27,1969, Frank was a life-long resident of New Mexico, dividing his time between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Frank, an educated man, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and studied Nuclear Medicine at the University of New Mexico. He worked in the field of Civil Engineering for the City of Albuquerque and, most recently taught Nuclear Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Frank was a high energy person full of life. When Frank wasn’t busy traveling with his close friends and family, he enjoyed singing and acting and anything that made people laugh or cheer.  Frank touched the lives of countless people and there are those out there who loved Frank as much as we did; whomever you are, we share your sorrow. He loved his family and was unselfish to a fault. There was no person who came into Frank’s orbit who didn’t walk away with a smile. He left his family and friends profoundly sad with his loss, but extraordinarily fortunate for having known and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Jose F. and Trinnie Lopez; siblings, Grace Maese and husband Sam, David Lopez, Monica Aragon and husband Tommy, Mario Lopez and girlfriend Janelle Ramirez, Jesse Lopez, Danuta Lopez and boyfriend Gabe Medrano; seven nieces and nephews, who he adored, Michael Lopez, Joseph Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Nicolette Maese, Paris Maese, Analisa Aragon and Jayden Gallegos. Frank’s extended family included aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends scattered across the country. He managed to keep in touch, in one way or another, with all of them. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, 87109 with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
