Gabriel Chavez

Gabriel (Gabe) Chavez, age 82, born in Manzano, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, February 13 with his family by his side.  Mr. Chavez is survived by his children, Jesse Chavez, Louise Chavez, Terrie Vallez and husband, Rudy, Barbara McKinley and husband, Grady, Donna Benavidez and husband, John, Charles Chavez and Doris Luna; daughter-in-law, Sara Chavez; six sisters, five brothers, 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez was preceded in death by his beloved life wife, Nellie; son, Gabriel; daughter, Patricia Ann and granddaughter, Ashley.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Honorary Urn bearers will be Reynada Chavez, Jennifer Benavidez, Noel Chavez and Jazmine Weddle.
