Geneva (Veva) A. Chavez, age 70, a resident of Albuquerque passed away Saturday, August 01, 2015. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her children, Mark Chavez and wife, Federica, Colleen Chavez, Michael Chavez and wife, Claire; sisters, Tommie Page, Angie Carter and husband, Jim, Jeannette Davalos and husband, Richard, Isabel Chavez and husband, Steve, Toni Mora and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Raymond, Carlos, and Manuel; sisters in law/brothers in law, Celina and Johnny Ramirez, and Della Barboa, Leonard and Gloria Chavez, Joe and Priscella Chavez, Jimmy and Teresa Chavez, Raymond Chavez, Gene and Elvira Chavez; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Along with caring for many nieces and nephews, she also provided child care for infants at Wesley Kids Day Care. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; and daughter, Claudia. Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 06 ,2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday, August 07, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
