Geomy Pohl, a man known for his faith, love of family, strength, humor and integrity, and loved by many, passed away on September 12th, 2024. Geomy was born the second of five children to Augustine and Flora Pohl on March 23, 1935. After growing up on his family's ranch in Chilili, NM, Geomy met and married his lifelong love, Priscilla Chavez. Geomy and Priscilla went on to celebrate 69 years of marriage together, building a close-knit family of 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. After briefly working at Sandia National Labs, in 1972 he established Geomy Pohl Concrete out of the family home in Albuquerque's North Valley. In 1999, Geomy retired from his concrete company to move back to his ranch in Chilili, enjoy wide open spaces, and pursue his love of ranching with Priscilla, as always, by his side. Geomy was able to live the remainder of his life in this place that he loved. Geomy is predeceased by his parents Augustine and Flora, his brother Isabio, and sister Susana, and is lovingly survived by his wife Priscilla, siblings Nobert and LeRoy, children Rita {Mike) Chavez, Dorothy, Lonnie, Donnie {Debra), Mark {Ida) and Kevin {Nancy), his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless friends. Geomy will be remembered for his steadfastness, quick wit, unshakable love of family, strong work ethic, sense of humor, loyalty, and business savvy. His legacy of family, hard work, and doing what is right lives on in anyone who was blessed enough to be close to him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00am with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30am and a Mass to follow at 11:00am all to be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church located at 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. A Burial will follow the Services to Chilili, New Mexico.
