Gilbert Edwardo Benavidez

Gilbert Edwardo Benavidez, age 89, born in Atrisco, New Mexico and a life-long resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 18, 2023. Mr. Benavidez is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Victoria Mancha Benavidez; children, Ross, and Roger Benavidez, Juan Mancha and Tommie, Anna Santillanes and Leroy; grandchildren, Jose Mancha and Christi, Peter Martinez and Henrietta, Alvaro Bustillos, Eric Bustillos and Violet, Martin Mancha nad wife Lisa, and Angela Mancha; great-grandchildren, Savannah Bustillos, Marissa Martinez, Stephen Mancha and Bethany, Allie Miranda and Jonathan,Marciano Martinez, Josiah Mancha, Lexi Bustillos, Aurianna Bustillos, Isabelle Bustillos, Isaiah Bustillos, Aliyah Mancha, Melissa Mancha, ; great-great-grandchildren, Evalena Martinez, Elias Miranda, Hadassah Miranda; along with numerous other loving family member and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Benavidez. Mr. Benavidez served his country faithfully & was honorably discharged from the United States Army. The services for Mr. Benavidez will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Monte de Sion Community Church 3513 Tower Rd. SW. where he will be honored with Military Honors.
