Helen M. Butsch, age 79, of Knoxville, TN, was called to be with the Lord on May 5, 2018. Helen was born in 1938 in the small farming town of Mesita, CO. She often shared fun memories she had with her brothers and sisters on the farm and invariably carried that fun loving spirit with her. While a teenager her family moved to Albuquerque, NM and she graduated high school there. A few years later she met her husband and they traveled the globe while he was in the military and raised five children together. Even while working full time she managed to be a Camp Fire Girl leader for her daughters and cheer her son on at wrestling. She was a very proud mom of all her children. After retiring from WTAMU Cornette Library in Canyon, TX she along with her husband made her way to Knoxville, TN where they were involved in many Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian church groups including the LLL group, Feed a Friend, Helping Hands sewing group, Fall Festival and Challengers Bible Class. They were also fervent Bingo players with the seniors at Chick-Fil-A.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward Butsch. She is survived by her children, Steven Butsch, Deborah Yoshitake, Rodney Butsch, Lizette McMindes and Consuelo Silva-Moore; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and held always in our hearts.
