Ismael P. Tafoya, age 80, born in Contreras, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017.  Mr. Tafoya is survived by his siblings, Peggy Tafoya, Tommie Montoya, Rosie Tafoya, Jim Tafoya and wife, Betty, Robert Tafoya and wife, Mary Lou, Patricia Tafoya; and many nieces and nephews.  Mr. Tafoya was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Mary P. Tafoya; brothers, David P., Delfin R., and Freddie; sisters, Mary Lou Salas and Flora Lucero.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 526 Atrisco Dr. SW; with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m.; with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.; Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospice for their kindness and support.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Humane Society of Albuquerque.
