Jacklyn Gurule

Jacklyn Elizabeth Gurule, age 29, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018.  Our beloved Jacklyn, or Jai as she wanted everyone to call her was, talented, artistic, kind and touched the life’s of so many and will be missed by all.   In her 29 short years, Jacklyn’s reach was very large.  She was able to influence others with her genuine kindness.  She would care for other’s children and showed them what true love was even though she, herself was not a mother.  There will forever be a hole that cannot be filled in the hearts of everyone who knew her.   Jacklyn is survived by her mother, Terry Gurule; grandmother, Mary Gurule; aunts, Juanita Gurule, Irene Gurule and fiancé, Todd Ray, Lorraine Jinzo and husband, Charlie and Elizabeth Duran and husband, Peter; her uncle, Dennis Gurule and wife, Nora; as well as, countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that will all miss the presence that Jacklyn had.   Jacklyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tobias Gurule; aunts, Rita Gurule, Josephina Sellers and her uncle, Onesimo Chavez.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.; A final visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd SW, with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Pajarito Cemetery, Albuquerque.
