Jacob Marez

Jacob Victor Marez, age 30, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on May 20, 2022. Jacob was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his appetite for great food, love of cooking and enjoying a great bowl of red chili. Jacob made wonderful friendships at Johnson and Wales University where he earned his Bachelor of Science and his Associate in Culinary Arts.

Jacob will be lovingly remembered by his parents Curtis and Sandra Marez; his brother, Philip Marez and Felicia Luna, nieces, Alisia Marez and Amilia Marez; grandparents, Boney and Lucy Marez; aunts and uncles, Victor and Mary Sanchez, Rhonda and Abel Gutierrez, Jerry Sanchez, Chris and Aileen Sanchez, Darlene and Gilbert Garduno, Michael and Shirley Marez, his beloved furbaby Buttercup Marez, numerous cousins, and friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eduardo and Melba Sanchez. Aunt Shirley Salcido. Uncles; Rudy Garcia, Randy Sanchez, Patrick Sanchez, Joseph Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez, Leroy Sanchez and Mark Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of to follow at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at Guadalupe Church Hall.
