James Gilbert "Sonny" Saiz

James Gilbert “Sonny” Saiz, age 82, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on July 14, 2024. Sonny is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Rebecca Saiz; children, Deborah Saiz, Gabriel Saiz, Jeffrey Saiz, Amber Saiz, Jasmine Saiz, Gabriel Saiz Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Barraza, Jenee Barraza, Brittni Jaramillo, Peter Barraza, Nicole Jaramillo, Alexandra Saiz, Martin, Isabel, Moses, Bryanna Saiz, Christian Saiz; great-grandchildren, Mariana, Abran, Kolton, Heavenly, Mateo Jr., Peter James Jr., Azael Messiah; siblings, Priscilla Phillips and husband, Charles, Ronnie Saiz, Evelyn Saiz, Arlene Saiz and, Diana Mata and husband, Alex. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cherry Saiz Barraza, and grandson, Abran Jaramillo. Visitation for Mr. Saiz will be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited by Guadalupe Medina Barraza at 7:00p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Eulogy to follow by Evelyn Saiz; also at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Matthew Barraza, Frankie Olguin, Peter James Barraza, Christian Saiz, Flory Olguin and Martin Barraza.
