Jerry Barboa

Jerry Rm Barboa, age 76, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 with his family by his side.  Mr. Barboa is survived by his sons, Jerry C. Barboa and wife, Yvonne, Andy Barboa and wife, Darleine, and Danny Barboa; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Estella Liguori; his favorite Aunt, Jeanette Alvarez; siblings, Charlie Barboa and Margarita Barboa; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mr. Barboa was preceded in death by his grandparents, Geronimo and Lupe Barboa and his parents, Tony and Adela Barboa.  Mr. Barboa was a proud member of the first graduating class of Rio Grande high school, 1959, where he was an exceptional athlete; and was a proud retiree of the Albuquerque Fire Department.   Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.;  final visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Saint Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, with a Communion Service to be held at 9:00 a.m.  Interment to follow mass at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Daniel T., Michael J., Adrienne N., Michael A., Alyssa A., and Jerome D.
