Jimmy Chavez

Jimmy Santiago Chavez, age 90, born in Tajique, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 with his loving family by his side.  Mr. Chavez is survived by his children, Christine Chavez and husband, Louie, Karen Torres and husband, Ralph; grandchildren, Ralph Torres Jr., James Torres, Alex Torres, Marcos Torres, Elicia Ortiz, Robert Gonzales, Santiago Chavez, Rene Miera, Michelle Mitchell, Eugene James Chavez, Isaac Chavez; great-grandchildren, Diego Torres, Gabriel Torres, Josh Torres, Charlene Torres, Angelica Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, Grace Miera, Maya Miera and great-great-grandson, Milo Rosales.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary T. Chavez; sons, James Chavez Jr., Leroy T. Chavez, Eugene Chavez; siblings, Beltran Chavez, Placida Chavez, Mores Otero, Leandro (Leo) Chavez, Erbie Chavez and Antonio (Tony) Chavez.

A visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
