Joe Garcia

Joe Antonio Garcia, age 82, (Joe Garcia and The Starlites) lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019.  Mr. Garcia is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Garcia; children, Corrina Garcia, Vince Garcia and wife, Janice, Cathy Ramirez and husband, Lencho, Lorraine Connor and husband, Dave, Christina Garcia and husband, Omar Ortega, Sandy Torres and husband, Candy and Roxanne Garcia; siblings, Rose Chavez, Rudy Garcia and wife, Frances, Fidel Garcia Jr., Lupa Lovato, Gabriella Nieto, James Garcia and wife, Esther, Lawrence Garcia and wife, Betty, Margaret Yurgae, Herman Garcia, Ann Marie Pearson and husband, John and David Garcia; fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his sons, Andrew Victor Garcia and Joe Anthony Jr. Garcia; parents, Fidel and Antonia Garcia; siblings, Robert Garcia, Leroy Garcia, Martha Ruiz and Loretta Garcia.

A visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:15 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Garcia, Fidel Garcia Jr., Lawrence Garcia, David Garcia, Herman Garcia, Robert Garcia and James Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Madrid, Augustine Griego, Smiley Martinez and Abel Gamboa.
