HERRERA JR., JOE M., age 90, born in Polvadera, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Mr. Herrera is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Vita; children, Geremias (Gerry) Herrera and Liz Ulibarri, Tomas Herrera and wife, Sheila, James Herrera and wife, Cheryl, and Annette Herrera; sisters, Maria Jaramillo and husband, Red, and Virginia Pineda; brother, Mike Herrera; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe is now in Heaven with his parents, Jose and Genoveva. Mr. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. by Lita Pino; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Herrera, Elliott Herrera, Serena Sanchez, Erika Herrera, Kevin Herrera and JoJo Herrera.
