Joe Romero

Joe A. Romero, age 86, born in Encino, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.  Mr. Romero is survived by his children, Patricia Griego, Sandra Romero, Lee Romero and wife, Lori, Yvonne Gross and husband, Danny, Michelle Mascareno and husband, Ray, Krista Romero and fiancé, Rudy Sanchez; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Willie Romero, Berna Mares, Toney Romero; loyal and loving neighbors, Leroy and Rose Jaramillo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vitalia and his daughter, Juana Romero.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.; A final visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415Fortuna Rd. NW, with a Communion service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerald Carbajal, Michael Benavides, Danny Gross Jr., Lee Romero Jr., Anthony Griego and John Martinez.  Honorary Pallbearers will be, Leroy Jaramillo and all of his great-grandchildren.
