d. December 13, 2015 John E. Parra, age 84, born in Canadian, TX and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away December 13, 2015 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Parra is survived by his beautiful wife of fifty -seven years, Florence; daughter, Melissa Parra Wilcox, and husband, Michael; son, Mathias J. Parra; sisters, Juanita Macias, and Ramona Parra; brothers, Lt. Colonel Pedro Salvador Parra and wife, Mary, and Bernardo Parra; grandchildren, Jose P. Fernandez and fiancee, Briana, Cristina Wilcox, Jedidiah (Jedi) Wilcox, and Dante Wilcox; great-granddaughter, Mia Marie Fernandez; best friend, Ronald Russell; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Janiece Marie Fernandez.   Mr. Parra was a devote Catholic.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Thule, Greenland with the 428th Anti Aircraft Battery-549th Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion. Mr. Parra was retired from the AT & SF Rail Road.  Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Final visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt.
