It is with heavy heart that we announce the death of our son, John, Johnny Q, brother, proud uncle, great uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was loved by many especially by his loving brother Gino. John Quintana graduated from Rio Grande High School and the Collage of Santa Fe. He taught at The Albuquerque Sign Language Academia and was involved with Community Theatre. He traveled and worked with the "Up With People" organization. He was known as "Unkie" to his nephews Quentin and Mikey who he loved so very much.
John Quintana, age 52, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 26, 2021. John is survived by his parents, Delfino and Rose Marie Quintana; brother, Eugene Quintana; nephews, Quentin Quintana and wife, Dani, Mikey Quintana and wife, Jaelyn, Braxton Quintana; uncles, Jake Quintana, Bill Quintana, Steve Ortiz, Lawrence Ortiz, , Raymond Ortiz, Martin Ortiz; Aunts, Lucille Salas, Lanette Ortiz, Dorothy Salazar, Pat Garcia, Nancy Ortiz, Tina Ortiz. Lois Cummings; along with several cousins, friends, and extended family members. John was preceded in death by his Uncles Albert Quintana, Charlie Ortiz, Pio Chavez, Dennis Chavez and Eli Salas; Grandparents, Eulogio and Aurora Quintana and Pio and Agnes Chavez; A Mass for Mr. Quintana will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 9:00am held at St Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church located at 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW 87120. COVID restrictions are in place at the church. You need to wear a Mask, Social Distancing and Seating is Limited.
