Johnny Pat Salazar, age 82, born in Raton, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on November 22, 2021. Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Margaret (Turrietta) Salazar; son, Johnny Salazar and wife, Pam; daughter, Lisa Mata and husband, Sergio; sister, Betty Maes, grandchildren, Shelby, John Thomas, Alexandria and Timothy; great-grandchildren Xavier, Lexi, Savannah, Jacque and one on the way (Spencer Johnnie); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan, and Marina Salazar; grandmother, Piedad Guara; son, Baby Salazar. Mr. Salazar served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Mr. Salazar also retired from Lockheed Martin after thirty years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 309 Stover Ave SW. A Committal Service with military honors will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 502 N. Guadalupe St. Pallbearers will be, Timothy Salazar, Mike Roybal, Omar Martinez, Eric Saenz, Claudio Saenz Jr., Carlos Saenz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Claudio Saenz Sr., Sergio Mata, Johnny Salazar, John Thomas Salazar.
