Jose Griego

Jose D. Griego, age 91, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018.  Mr. Griego is survived by his six children, Cathy Beel, Lynette Griego and Jim Jones, Andalecio Griego, Vivian Griego, Pete Griego, Anthony Griego and wife, Rita; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; nieces, Rose Martinez and husband, John and Tita Delgado and many other extended family members.  Mr. Griego was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jessie.   Mr. Griego was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII.  He was a P. F.C., Company “A” 141st infantry and a member and commander of VFW 6216.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Pallbearers will be Andalecio Griego, Vivian Griego, Pete Griego, Anthony Griego, Dominic Baca and Benjamin Griego.
